It is normal, but I get rid of mine. I read once those can be harmful for the fish, similar to divers getting the bends. I don’t know how true it is, but better safe than sorry for me, I take a turkey baster (never washed with soap) and squirt most of them away.

Most water conditions have aloe vera as a main ingredient that ‘s why you get the bubbles.

It is not only because of the water conditioner, but also because of the new tank and decoration, a lot of trapped air will come out from here and there to cause bubbles.

Yes, this is quite normal. You just put fresh tapwater in it, which contains lots of air throughout. You just couldn’t see it. After a while the air starts to collect together, forming those bubbles. Just take your hand, or aquariam brush and gently rub them. They will rush to the top and disappear. Even leaving them alone is ok, they will still disappear after a while.

When you mentioned “…cycle my tank…”, I’m assuming you mean adding good bacteria to get rid of the ammonia and nitrates/nitrites processes? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go to for more information.
